The eating out experience in Dubai has been given a serious boost as the legendary Chinese eatery Mr Chow has indeed opened its doors in the Gate District in DIFC today, June 19. Internationally recognized as the luxurious version of Beijing-style restaurant and having a celebrity clientele, Mr Chow will surely offer a more performatory than a gastronomic experience.
Established in 1968 in Knightsbridge, London by renowned restaurant owner Michael Chow, Mr success in acquiring star names including Bella Hadid, Jay-Z, Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg over the years. And now, having a total of eight openings globally, and the second in the Middle East since opening in DIFC, the brand has taken over the old Indochine spot in the DIFC in Dubai, turning it into an experiential food adventure.
What to expect:
Mr 2014 Chow is more than a restaurant it is a performance. Noodle-pulling demonstrations daily, a Champagne trolley that meanders and a lovely but also jaunty service, make any visit a special event. The interiors have mixed the modern art and classical grandiosity to produce the best environment where one could spend a special night out or have business lunches with pomp.
Must-Try Dishes:
Essential items on the menu are famous Beijing duck, Mr Chow noodles, creamy Chicken Satay and tender Ma Mignon. Everything to eat is family-style shared and an expression of the finest old-time Beijing flavours turned posh.
