Recently, Anne Hathaway, who is known for movies like “The Princess Diaries” and “The Devil Wears Prada” came under debate after she attended a Bulgari jewelry event in Rome. It has come as no surprise that the actress decided to wear high fashion while also shocking everyone a shirt dress intended for Gap Shirt Dress.
In the Bulgari Aeterna High Jewelry Brand Event held in the Altare Della Patria on May 20, 2024, Hathaway got to embody a fashion-forward look. Her dress was made purely of organic cotton and was asymmetrical and buttoned; the dress was custom designed by Zac Posen, the new creative director of the Gap and the executive vice president of the company. The dress is actually inspired by Gap’s button down shirt, though we didn’t know because it looks more like a gorgeous, elegant red carpet gown.
Resplendent in white shoes and Bulgari accessories, Hathaway’s outfit was rounded off with a silver clutch purse. They saw how she was able to combine everyday clothing with classy accessories and, therefore, make a unbeaten fashion statement.
Developed by a renowned stylist Erin Walsh, this design was one with a single off-the-shoulder strap and an unzipped bottom part. As for the shirt dress, underneath, Hathaway styled the outfit with a white corset and black pleated shorts which gave the look a cute but somewhat professional touch.
”The dress is quite similar to the shirt collar and placket but it is more girlish and has the slight waist darting and a corset in the dress color,” said the Gap in its press release. It was known as the ‘Roman Holiday’ look with an Audrey Hepburn touch to it but with a more contemporary twist added to it.
Even though Hathaway’s gown was customized, Gap plans to make something like a dress just like the gown worn by Hathaway on the Web site soon though it will not have the shorts feature of course. This initiative complements the brand vision as the brand name suggests that classic styles are the canvas upon which people can express themselves.
