UAE Launches Visionary Report on Sustainability Beyond 2030

UAE Unveils Strategic Roadmap for Sustainable Development Beyond 2030

What To Know

  • This strategic and policy paper was created by the UAE National Committee on SDGs and successfully takes the country’s sustainability agenda 21 years further than the United Nations’ 2030 SDG Blueprint.
  • The report is based on the results of the XDGs 2045 Ministerial Roundtable held in the framework of the World Government Summit 2024.
  • The Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange, Abdulla Nasser Lootah, and the Chairman of the National Committee on SDGs stressed on the countries for making UAE a competetive knowledge economy.

To this effect, during the latest HLPF held in New York, the UAE presented the ‘XDGs 2045: Navigating the Future of our World’ report. This strategic and policy paper was created by the UAE National Committee on SDGs and successfully takes the country’s sustainability agenda 21 years further than the United Nations’ 2030 SDG Blueprint.

The report is based on the results of the XDGs 2045 Ministerial Roundtable held in the framework of the World Government Summit 2024. It looks back at previous global development frameworks, gauges the world’s progress toward the 2030 goals and delineates steps for the way forward.

The Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange, Abdulla Nasser Lootah, and the Chairman of the National Committee on SDGs stressed on the countries for making UAE a competetive knowledge economy. ‘One cannot stress enough that our continued emphasis shall be placed on innovation and strategic partnerships aiming at providing solutions for new international problems, thus remaining productive for our nation’s economy and relevant to worldwide sustainable development,’ he said.

Thus, the work intends to contribute to the following discussions on post-2030 development goals regarding sustainable development
