More than one million workers across the UAE participated in the celebration of the country’s 53rd Eid Al Etihad with the theme “The happiness of workers in the celebration of the union.” The MoHRE led the two-day celebrations, with support from other governmental organizations, companies, and non-profit organizations to prove the UAE’s support for establishing sustainable happiness for the workforce.

Bright Activity and Lively Gifts

The celebrations that took place across the country included entertainment, other competitions and fun and fabulous prizes such as a car that was raffled. Supporting sponsors include Aldar Properties and Insurance Pool while the like-minded partners are the UAE Food Bank, Dar Al Ber Society and Al Ihsan Charity Association among others.

Besides the above mentioned, hundreds of labour accommodations also witnessed various functions. These included schemes by companies such as Al Eskan Al Jamae, Emirates Global Aluminium, and Khansaheb Contracting to make sure the employees in many industries could celebrate.

A Tribute to the Workforce

The celebrations are as an evidence that the UAE intends to give its workforce proper regard as the nation’s human capital that would drive sustainable development and contribute to the growth of international business. They also fit into leadership guidelines for improvement of the standard of living of all workers thus showing more humane ways of dealing with labour.

International Acceptance of UAE Labour Relations

This, owing to new policies and social protection measures such as the Unemployment Insurance Scheme, health insurance and the Wage Protection System (WPS), has sees the UAE leading in other global labour market indicators. Employer’s tribute to employees: Other similar events such as the Emirates Labour Market Award, to which 48 model employees were recently awarded also testifies of the UAE’s pursuit of workforce recognition.

On the tone of the nation celebrating unity and progress of the country, these commemorations are a true representation of the UAE, as a nation that does not underestimate the efforts of every individual in an eventful progress.
