DEWA Unveils AI Roadmap to Become World’s First AI-Native Utility

Under the leadership of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) the organization debuted its plan to develop into the world’s initial AI-native utility which requires artificial intelligence to operate in every operational sector. In a presentation at GenAI Week Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer announced that DEWA would lead the world as the first completely AI-native utility.

DEWA positions AI at the heart of their organizational vision.
Four days of conferences during GenAI Week allowed DEWA specialists to collaborate with leaders of Microsoft, IBM, ServiceNow and DataRobot. The event included workshops with discussions and interactive lectures about deep learning and AI automation for neural networks as DEWA solidified its dedication to digital transformation.

The AI Strategy of DEWA contains these important features
Secure productivity will result from AI automation that optimizes decision-making along with administrative workflows.
AI tools developed by AI technology will create enhanced services which enhance experience for customers while improving engagement with stakeholders.
The organization will provide its staff with AI training through strategic international partnerships to develop their empowerment.
The deployment of AI technology will help DEWA meet the objectives of the UAE National Strategy for AI 2031 as the organization moves toward global leadership in smart utilities while enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability.
