Dubai is leading the way in tech with the introduction of the world’s first AI chef, Chef Aiman. UMAI, a culinary tech company based in the UAE, brought about this development by using artificial intelligence with fine dining, making its mark in the food industry globally.
Chef Aiman which stands for “AI-man,” goes beyond just being an assistant. He has all the qualifications needed to draft menus, build recipes, advise on ingredients and control the running of a kitchen. Chef Aiman is meant to help, not to replace, human chefs when they debut in WOOHOO, an upcoming Japanese restaurant in Downtown Dubai this summer.
Because he can do more than a resto-focused chef, Chef Aiman was created to show what’s possible in the kitchen. The idea is not to replace chefs, but to give them more support. See him as someone who is guiding you in the kitchen.
WOOHOO will have a human chef with Michelin experience creating food together with Aiman, so viewers can see cutting-edge teamwork at work.
Chef Aiman operates using UMAI’s own culinary interface which puts transparency, safety and ethics first. All the decisions AI makes are kept and regular feedback ensures each choice works smoothly, unswervingly and produces new ideas. Customers can enjoy gastronomy that tastes good and trusts them.
Thanks to this latest move, Dubai demonstrates its leading role in technology and food on the world stage, declaring again that the future is being presented—one plate at a time.
