e& has launched its second fully autonomous store, EASE, in the Dubai Mall, which can be seen as a transformative step to improving the telecoms shopping experience. The EASE concept of the first store located in Al Kifaf is successful, and this experience uses artificial intelligence, machine learning technologies, smart shelves, and robots to provide customers with the convenient and efficient shopping experience.
Situated on the second level of Dubai Mall, innovations include the use of FastPass for biometric entry, smart gates, trades, and biometric ATMs and self-service stations. Customers can browse through all telecom products and services from mobile and fixed line products, handsets, accessories and trade in services without the need to engage the staff. Moreover, the payments within the store also accept the use of mobile applications like Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay through the e& UAE app.
As stated by Khaled ElKhouly, Chief Consumer Officer of e& UAE: while EASE takes a pole position in the company’s digital transformation plan – Enel is committed to delivering personalized and sustainable retail propositions. The trade-in machines do not only retain clients but also increase the rate of environmental conservation as most of the machines are ending up as waste products.
As a key strategy in enhancing customer experience through Digital Retail, E& UAE’s sees the EASE concept as a major strategic goal in re- redefining the future of telecoms retail.
