UAE to Add Artificial Intelligence as Core Subject in School Curriculum

The United Arab Emirates proceeded with Artificial Intelligence (AI) education as an official school learning subject beginning in next academic year. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced through his position as Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai that his initiative will deliver needed skills to students from K through Grade 12 under new public school educational programs.

The United Arab Emirates maintains this course of action within their blueprint to establish an economy that depends on knowledge and innovation. Sheikh Mohammed made the following statement on X (formerly Twitter) about how Artificial Intelligence would change global operations. The educational objective involves teaching students comprehensive knowledge about AI by addressing its fundamental technology along with its moral implications along with societal consequences.

Major components of the curriculum will educate students about data analytics combined with algorithmic learning approaches and practical AI implementations and security-related AI aspects. Educational development through the curriculum aims to establish advanced skillsets for ethical decision-making and critical thinking about AI implementations which students will need for their careers in an AI-controlled future.

The Minister of Education received praise from Sheikh Mohammed for creating thorough AI teaching materials that match the needs of students at this age. The sheikh directed that we hold responsibility to educate kids for the future world because it will advance beyond current standards.

The educational change adopts the previous announcement made by Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed during June 12 about AI-specialized teaching staff for the city’s schools. A training initiative supports current teachers who need to adopt AI methods for teaching.

Through this initiative the UAE establishes itself as a global and regional leader in AI education along with preparing the following generation to confront and harness upcoming opportunities and challenges.
