  • The initiative is part of MoHRE’s broader portfolio of smart projects showcased at GITEX, including the Work Bundle platform, Ask Data analytics tool, Smart Safety Tracker, and the MOHRE Smart Application — all reinforcing the UAE’s ambition for AI leadership.
  • With “Eye,” MoHRE is positioning itself as a model for how AI can drive public sector innovation, enhance global competitiveness, and support the UAE’s goal of building an agile, future-ready economy.

The UAE has taken another leap toward becoming one of the world’s most technologically advanced labour markets with the launch of its new AI-powered system, “Eye.” Introduced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) during GITEX Global 2025, the system aims to automate work permit approvals, reduce processing time, and improve service quality for employers and employees across the UAE.

The “Eye” system uses artificial intelligence to automatically verify essential documents — including personal photos, passports, and academic certificates — ensuring accuracy and reducing the need for manual checks. This automation is designed to speed up approval processes and minimise human error, allowing manual reviews only when necessary.

Rashid Hassan Al Saadi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Market Services at MoHRE, said that “Eye” represents a major milestone in the Ministry’s digital transformation journey. “It reflects our commitment to advancing innovation, enhancing customer experience, and aligning with the UAE’s national digital transformation strategy,” he noted.

Al Saadi added that the system not only cuts administrative costs but also improves operational efficiency and the overall customer experience. Employers will benefit from faster onboarding of new talent, while employees will experience a smoother, more transparent process.

The initiative is part of MoHRE’s broader portfolio of smart projects showcased at GITEX, including the Work Bundle platform, Ask Data analytics tool, Smart Safety Tracker, and the MOHRE Smart Application — all reinforcing the UAE’s ambition for AI leadership.

Currently, over 80% of UAE’s government services are digitised or AI-driven, marking a major step in the country’s mission to achieve full smart governance. With “Eye,” MoHRE is positioning itself as a model for how AI can drive public sector innovation, enhance global competitiveness, and support the UAE’s goal of building an agile, future-ready economy.
