UAE’s MoHRE Launches AI-Powered Work Permit System with Zero Bureaucracy

By introducing AI-based work permit services, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) of the United Arab Emirates has made a significant stride towards becoming a digitalgovernance global leader, as the services do not require any paperwork or manual processing. Through this change, MoHRE establishes a new standard of smart public services and provides more than 100 digital solutions available around the clock.

One of the notable features is automatic generation of work permits, which is achieved by use of sophisticated artificial intelligence and integration of government systems. Through this innovation, establishments will be able to get permits in real-time and the number of documents required has been reduced by 100 percent, simplifying operations and increasing the efficiency of the private sector.

Digital transformation of MoHRE also has real-time services, where the issuance of contracts, cancellations, and amendments are carried out without human interaction. The Ministry, as well, ushered in multi-language To Whom It May Concern certificates to domestic workers, and provides online complaints, absence reporting and legal enquiry services through the Labour Consultation and Claims Center.

In line with the UAE Zero Bureaucracy Program and the principle of “Ask Once”, MoHRE makes zero paperwork and speedy outcomes. Farm and ranch owners can now open files online with the new digital tools, and the permits of domestic workers are automatic because of integrated government systems.

One of the foundations of this change is a unified communication platform, known as Tawasul, by MoHRE. Tawasul operates in 14 smart channels and offers secure and easy access to services by the customers who have rated it high in satisfaction. Based on direct customer feedback, in 2022 alone, the platform has launched 9 instant services and transformed 11 services into proactive formats.

With the assistance of AI, legal services, and high-quality digital infrastructure, the MoHRE smart ecosystem, in turn, enables the private sector and contributes to the overall UAE ambitions related to innovation, sustainable development, and international competitiveness.

Through the continuous training of the workforce and upgrading of the system, MoHRE is making the UAE one of the best places in the world to live, work and invest.
