The UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology became the founding partner of the Centre for Industrial Competences on 16 August 2024 together with the BRICS partners. The UAE government has implemented new tough measures to try and protect workers’ rights with monetary penalties of as much as one million Dh for organisations and employers who break labour laws. This is a drive under the larger campaign of enshrinement of fair treatment of all workers as provided under the law. An Emirates training aircraft was involved in an incident at the Emirates Flight Training Academy in Dubai this Friday. The incident was published by the media in regard to a Cirrus SR22 training plane with no casualties recorded. An official from the Emirates Flight Training Academy acknowledged the event on August 9, admitting that a probe is ongoing. Extent of safety: Recently the city of Abu Dhabi has emerged to be the safest city globally according to the 2024 Global Liveability index done by the economist intelligent unit.
