Danya Mohammed just gave the UAE’s biggest national pride moment its most viral visual. After Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, called on every citizen and resident to raise the UAE Flag on their homes, offices, and buildings, the country went full national pride mode in under 48 hours. The hashtag #فخورين_بالإمارات (Proud of UAE) flooded Instagram, TikTok, and X, flags started selling out, and the Dubai Bling star with over one million Instagram followers became one of the defining faces of the moment.

The Call That Set Everything Off

On April 9, 2026, Sheikh Mohammed posted on X with a message that went nationwide within hours. He said the UAE entered the recent regional crisis united and came out of it even more cohesive and loyal, with citizens, residents, military, and the private sector all standing under one flag.

“The UAE Flag is a symbol of strength and pride,” he wrote. “Let us raise the flag high over every home and building, as a sign of our love and symbol of our loyalty to our President and our unity and solidarity.”

The backdrop to the call matters. The UAE’s air defence intercepted 537 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles, and 2,256 drones since Iran launched daily attacks on February 28, 2026. Through it all, the UAE held firm. UAE Diplomatic Advisor Anwar Gargash put it plainly: the country “triumphed in a war we sincerely sought to avoid.”

Danya Mohammed and the Celebrities Who Joined

The Proud of UAE wave hit the celebrity world fast. Danya Mohammed, the first Emirati female on Netflix and a lead cast member of Dubai Bling with over one million Instagram followers, posted a reel that has been circulating widely. Dressed in a traditional purple and gold Emirati kaftan, she stood at the base of a towering UAE Flag pole as the camera zoomed in close, then pulled back wide to reveal the flag flying high above her against a clear blue sky. Clean, powerful, and very on-brand for her audience.

She is far from alone. Numerous UAE-based celebrities and public figures have been joining the hashtag, sharing UAE Flag moments from rooftops, homes, and public landmarks. The Proud of UAE movement has reached entertainment personalities, business executives, and everyday residents all at once, making it one of the most organic national moments the country has seen in years.

UAE Flag Stocks Are Already Gone

The demand was immediate, within just 24 hours of Sheikh Mohammed’s post, UAE Flags in various sizes and formats were selling out across Dubai. Anyone looking to get one is being told to move fast.

Businesses responded publicly too,. From retail giants to real estate developers, executives have pledged to raise the UAE Flag at their offices and hand them out to staff, calling it a direct expression of gratitude for the stability and opportunity the UAE provides. One executive said it plainly: “It is a small but meaningful reminder to our team that we are all united under one flag and one vision.”

Why the Proud of UAE Moment Hit This Hard

This was not a government campaign with a media budget. The Proud of UAE hashtag happened the way real cultural moments do, fast, personal, and everywhere at once. A single social media post from Sheikh Mohammed turned into a nationwide visual statement in less than 48 hours, with figures like Danya Mohammed giving it a face that millions of followers already know and trust.

For a country that just navigated one of its most intense geopolitical periods on record, the UAE Flag going up across every building, business, and social media feed is the country’s answer to everything it went through. And right now, that answer is very loud.
