Bridgerton’s £275 Million Boost to the UK Economy

London: As seen in the case of Shonda Rhimes ‘Bridgerton universe’ has had a visible positive impact on the UK economy and has contributed to over a quarter of a billion pounds in the last five years alone. This astounding financial result enables effectively funding the work of nearly 5 thousand local companies; proving that art and entertainment industry is an essential driver of economies.

This followed the series reaching this significant and as part of celebration for this occasion and in line with the part 2 of the third season of Bridgerton which premiers at Netflix next month, the CEO of Shondaland Shonda Rhimes CBE ceremoniously unveiling trading at the London Stock Exchange. Rhimes emphasized cultural significance and financial results of Bridgerton by stating that “Bridgerton universe is cultural phenomenon that is defining the youth and everyone generates chatter, trends, and conversations not only naming their babies after the show’s characters, but also planning weddings inspired by the series. ” Bridgerton also provided the significant source of revenue helping to pump £275 million into the UK economy during the last five years and supporting thousands individuals and businesses.

Anna Mallett, the VP Production EMEA at Netflix proudly said that Shonda Rhimes’ did a work of storytelling pergatory and she also spoke about the impact of Bridgerton universe in global level. She added, “Beyond the food and jobs that the shows have generated, the shows have provided a cultural value adding proposition,” Before adding, “The UK is our home and this is but one aspect of the significant investment we are making in telling stories that members will resonate with. ”

Bridgerton has made a significant impact in the UK and worldwide in terms of cultural impact as well, and it has drawn from the Regency-era aspect. Visit West highlighted that the program led to an increased demand for tourists to explore areas where most of the show is shot, which has had an impact in contributing more than £5m to the economy in Bath, Bristol, and other nearby cities.

CEOs of Bridgerton include Julia Hoggett of the London Stock Exchange, who spoke proudly about the Bridgerton success and its effects on the UK’s economy; she said that ‘Our films and creative sectors contribute tens of billions to the UK’s GDP while supporting employment, growth, and togetherness. ’

Teresa Wise, the CEO of the Royal TV Society, also stated that Bridgerton had a great impact on viewers all over the world and proved to be financially beneficial for the location where the show was being shot.

The second fraction of Season 3 of the popular show, Bridgerton, premiered on September 23 and is available on Netflix as are all previous episodes.
