Four new cast members of Netflix’s live-action One Piece have been unveiled for the series’ second season that is in production now. In Monarch production, Callum Kerr takes the position of Smoker, Julia Rehwald who is in Fear Street will appear as Tashigi while Rob Colletti in The Many Saints of Newark will perform as Wapol, and Ty Keogh of 24 Hours To Live as Dalton. These characters are written based on the comic by Eiichiro Oda, the full name of the pirate manga series.
Anticipation for Smoker’s Character
Audiences have been waiting on the edge of their seats for the character of Smoker whom the audience briefly saw in the final episode of season 1 and was promised to return in season 2. Through the designed clothing of a naval officer and two cigars, Smoker did not even need his face to reveal who he was on screen.

“One Piece” is about the thrilling adventures of Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), a boy with the power of rubber that overtakes hiscrew in their quest for the treasure known as “One Piece” which will make the ruler of the seas ”Pirate King”. Season 1 Success
Season 1 of “One Piece” was also in Netflix’s Global Top 10 for eight weeks and entered the TO in 93 countries and ranked first in 46 countries. It was also rated 95 % on ROT TOMATOES from more than 10,000 audience votes making it one of the greatest Netflix series.
Production and Future Plans
It is an anime series that originates from Shueisha with Tomorrow Studios, an ITV Studios partner, and Netflix as the creators. Showrunners for season 2 are Matt Owens and Joe Tracz; Co-producers are Eiichiro Oda; Supervising producers are Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements; Producers are Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes and Steve Maeda.
People have a good reception with the characters added on this new cast and the show further growing as prelude to the next ongoing story of Luffy.
