30th ITS World Congress Set to Begin in Dubai, Drawing 20,000 Attendees

The ITS World Congress & Exhibition is planned for 16-20 September, 2024 in Dubai at Dubai World Trade Centre at its 30th, as stated above. Entitled as “Mobility Empowered by Intelligent Transport Systems” the event is predicted to gather 20 thousand participants and and 800 speakers in 200 specialized sections.

Now in its fifth year, and hosted by the European ITS organisation ERTICO, with ITS America and ITS Asia Pacific, the congress will highlight smart mobility solutions, focusing on Urban, Clean, Automated Mobility, and Innovations in Mobility & Logistics.

The panel discussions include concerns like; The role of automation in different transport sectors? Cybersecurity in the transport sector? National connectivity with 5G? Sustainable planning, clean mobility? And digital transformation for urban mobility?.

This is the first time that the ITS World Congress will be hosted in the UAE and more specifically in Dubai and this is an indication of the regions increased importance in the development of smart transport systems and also as a sign of Dubais long term vision of increasing smart transportation technology. The Roads and Transport Authority (of Dubai) reiterated the emirate’s dedication in mapping out the evolution towards sustainable and innovative transport solutions enhancing the status of Dubai as the hub for smart transport solutions.
