Abu Dhabi Named Global Host for International Jazz Day 2025

With current preparations under way to host the International Jazz Day 2025 with its complete title of Global Host, Abu Dhabi is poised to stand and be revered as the best place for music lovers. Recognized for its diverse cultural treasure trove and significance to the area’s musical history, the UAE capital has been a UNESCO Creative City of Music so staging this worldwide acknowledged point of interest is fitting.

Music as an Art will not be left behind when International Jazz Day slated for April 30 is celebrated in grand style in Abu Dhabi. It will inform the world about the Arabic Jazz and the concert of Arabic instruments such as the Oud, Qanoon, and Ney in addition to the jazz artists of the region and around the world. With such a rich program, the public will be able to see how the capital of the UAE is advancing the cause of music diversity and encouraging young talents.

Within the framework of the jubilee events, it is assumed not only to perform concerts and releases but also educational programs and community projects for the development of the young generation of jazz musicians. The plan includes a music strategy for the different schools in the capital and music related activities and workshops to be led by institutions like Berklee Abu Dhabi and New York University Abu Dhabi. These classes are intended to develop young talent, to give people interested performing jazz as a possibility for their occupation.

Act 550, International Jazz Day has been celebrated annually since 2011 and acted as a uniting movement, which unites countries and communities across the world to recognize one of the most significant genres, which is jazz due to its perspective of dialogue freedom, and human rights, as well as embracing different nations. The day has reached out to over two billion in the society through such educative programs, concerts and relevant community initiatives.

Hosting the International Jazz Day 2025, Abu Dhabi hasn’t only positioned itself as a musical city but the cultural capital of the region as well. Thus, the city’s support for music and cultural diplomacy guarantees an exciting event that will long be remembered by all participants and other interested parties.
