Coldplay has said that they shall be giving their sole Middle East concert in Abu Dhabi in their current Music of the Spheres World Tour. It is scheduled for Saturday, 11th January 2025 at the Zayed Sports City Stadium with the band’s last performance in UAE as of 2022/ and the last in the capital as of 2016. Bearing in mind that this is one of the largest racing events which is only an hour’s drive from Dubai, fans across the GCC region are likely to troop in.
It is believed that tickets for the concert will be scarce and to be sold out in a short span of time. There are presales for tickets and Coldplay fans can get them through Coldplays website starting this Wednesday 25th September at noon or through LiveNation Middle East starting Thursday 26th September. While student tickets are available at the WMU&St. John’s Stadium ticket office, general ticket sales start at September 27, at noon. More information about the price plan is yet to be revealed.
As of now Music of the Spheres World Tour is officially the most successful touring music group Coldplay surpassing more than ticket sales of 10 millions all over the globe. There will also be pyrotechnics and laser, fireworks and LED wristbands with audience, should be prepared for an exciting watch of the concert scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi. Songs from the latest album Music of the Spheres are going to be included in the setlist, along with such megahits as Yellow, Fix You, Clocks, and The Scientist. Also, Coldplay has been expected to present songs from their up-coming album entitled Moon Music.
Joining Coldplay in their concert across the city’s Aldar’s Yas Island will be Elyanna, a singer of Palestinian-Chilean origin who features Arab-pop with Latin-flavored beats. Elyanna joined Coldplay during one of their festivals and she will definitely bring in energy to the event.
