Academy showrooms have revealed their performance schedule for the year 2024-2025 which is more than 50 performances for lovers of different genres of art. Starting this month through next year, it will showcase opera, ballet, concerts, and musicals with more than a thousand talents at Dubai’s cultural epicentre. As part of the lineup, a spectrum of events is to be offered with the purpose of attracting variant audiences and developing the cultural and economical image of the emirate.
Among the performances of the season guests will be welcome to watch Aida which is to be staged on September 13-15 and Giselle which is to be performed on September 18-21. Other performances are musicale including Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony (22 September), ballet performance the Nut cracker ( 19-22 December). For fans of Musical Theatre there is Singin’ in the Rain starting from November 30 to December 14 and Sweeney Todd from February 1 to 8 next year 2025.
Thus, Dubai Opera will provide a limited number of performances to be available only to the members of American Express Middle East. It is in line with Dubai’s overall economic and culture vision and strategy, D33, the Dubai Economic Agenda, and cements its position as the city of culture.
Dubai Culture’s CEO of Arts and Literature, Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash also added that the season gives not only voice to talent from Dubai and beyond but also provides for them. Looking at the performances of the Dubai Opera, one can undoubtedly state that these events will significantly boost Dubai’s status as a city that offers only the best of what the performing arts have to offer.
