Dubai to Host WORLDEF Dubai 2024: A Pioneering Forum for Digital Commerce

Being a traditional gate for the world, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Dubai is honored to invite you to the WORLDEF Dubai 2024 Forum from December 4th to 5th at Dubai CommerCity – the leading free zone for digital commerce in the region. The forum will attract more than 5 thousand delegates from 40 countries making it the keystone event for the world of e-commerce.

 

Advancing the Digital Economy

The forum is organized by WORLDEF – an International Commons for Cross-Border eCommerce and coincides with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 – the plan to double the size of Dubai economy by 2033. It also aims at market positioning of Dubai as a global digital commerce and as an international trading center.

 

This forum will focus on trends, customer focused solutions, green supply chain, artificial Intelligence and ethical sourcing. Speaking will also be focused on investment prospects in the digital economy, which would address Dubai’s outlined plan to diversify the emirate’s non-oil related GDP.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) underscored the importance of the forum in presenting Dubai success stories and creating partnerships between local and international theoreticians and practitioners of digital commerce. This comes as the UAE e-commerce market is expected to hit AED70 billion by 2029, and this event reflects Dubais efforts to build a holistic environment supporting the growth of the sector and its expansion across the region,” he added.

Issues for discussion will include; Retail e-commerce sales for the global market with expected to increase from 5.8 Trillion $ in the year 2023, more than 8 Trillion $ by the year 2027, B2C cross border market, expected to be 7.9 Trillion $ by 2030.
