Emirates Airline Festival of Literature 2025 Brings Top Writers to Dubai

The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature 2025 starts its program today on January 29 at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City. Approved by Emirates Airline organization, this Festival of Literature extends through February 3 to present six action-filled days featuring renowned authors along with intellectuals who engage world class writers and storytellers in diverse formats of public dialogue.

The 2025 Emirates Airline Festival of Literature showcases this year’s top authors who include Abraham Verghese, Nobel laureate Abdulrazak Gurnah, Emmy Award-winning Hala Gorani and Booker nominee Chigozie Obioma. Fans of popular fiction will find excitement meeting Jeff Kinney who authored Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Daniel Handler known as Lemony Snicket whose works include A Series of Unfortunate Events. Participants at the festival include travel writer Dr. Mohamed Al Mansi Qandil alongside poet Khalid Albudoor and Franco-Palestinian chef and author Fadi Kattan.

Aham Bolooki of the Emirates Literature Foundation declared that this cultural event serves as more than an author-audience gathering event since it reconstructs the way people engage in dialogue. Through diverse tracks centred around literature and mental well-being and business alongside other disciplines the festival seeks to spread bold ideas and encourage creative thoughts.

Dubai Culture supports Bil Emirati through their sponsorship activities by creating opportunities for Emirati writers to share their work with international authors. Two special events cater to poetry lovers at Desert Stanzas and culinary fans at All That Glitters dinner under starlit skies.

Through the Youth Programme aspiring writers can attend workshops for writing and editing alongside publishing skills in English and Arabic. Live shows combine with household activities alongside discussions about literary festival development shape the highlights of this cultural gathering.
