UAE Introduces AI-Powered Drones for Ramadan Moon Sighting

The UAE Council for Fatwa creates history through its use of AI-powered drones to detect the crescent moon thus starting Ramadan. Through this groundbreaking first this initiative builds upon conventional moon spotting techniques and demonstrates the UAE’s position as an innovation leader.

The AI drones function together with naked-eye watchers and space Age telescopes to deliver accurate Ramadan commencement tracking results. The project upholds Direct visual confirmation of the new moon as identified by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
