This year has seen the Dubai Future Forum 2024 officially opened at the Museum of the Future on 19th November by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation. The two-day event confirms the functionality of Dubai as a cutting-edge and visionary city.
Global Future Conclave.
More than 2,500 attendees, 150 of which are speakers, are present at this year’s forum hailing from 100 different countries. Other participants include policymakers, scholars, organizational leaders, and prospective thinkers. It includes 70 sessions covering trends and strategies for the world, with topics of discussion being vision, evolution of humanity, nature, health, and generations.
He spoke about the relevance of the forum and said, “Dubai Future Forum is a platform that connects future thinkers, scholars, decision-makers and standard-setters.” It will determine the information needed to help global societies adapt to change and to capture new opportunities.”
Innovation Spotlight: Prototypes for Humanity
This year, Hamdan visited Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity which presents one hundred innovation solutions for the global problems. Supervised by Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the programme links academics and students to global innovation hubs. Other partners are Dubai Culture, Dubai International Financial Centre as well as the Hussain Sajwani – DAMAC Foundation, which has committed AED 100 million for the strengthening of the innovation landscape of Dubai.
Empowering Future Leaders
His Highness celebrated graduates from two transformative programmes: In this paper I describe a) the FEEL: A Disruptive Futures Programme b) and the Dubai Future Experts Programme. These initiatives, together with other related ones led by DFF, equip leaders with profiles anticipating and capable of pushing through change throughout governments and the private sphere.
