UAE Residents Set for Four-Day Weekend During Eid Al Adha 2025

Residents of UAE will experience a four-day summer holiday during Eid Al Adha 2025 starting from Thursday June 5 up until Sunday June 8. Families have another occasion to relax and celebrate after Eid Al Fitr’s recent completion.

The major Islam holiday Eid Al Adha serves to remember Prophet Ibrahim’s commitment to God which led him to offer a sacrifice of his son Ismail. Indulging in prayers while gathering with others and practicing charity and performing animal sacrifices forms the main traditions through which Muslims worldwide commemorate this vital Islamic festival.

The holiday duration starts with Arafat Day predicted for June 5 which celebrates the ninth day of Dhu Al Hijja while marking the most sacred time of Hajj in Makkah. The holiday of Eid Al Adha will occur from June 6 to June 8 while adhering to Islamic calendar dates that span Dhu Al Hijja 10 to 12.

Law enforcement bodies in UAE will officially confirm dates within the expected period but existing predictions indicate that both private and public workers will receive an extended weekend between Friday June 6 and Monday June 9.

Eid Al Adha occurs during the time of Hajj which stands as one of the essential religious duties in Islam and enables millions of Muslims to complete their annual sacred journey. Numerous pilgrims choose to stop at Madinah during this holy period to experience its religious significance along with the sacred observance.

Residents anticipate this upcoming weekend to enable mobility through travel while they engage in classic traditions which unite families and neighborhoods.
