Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Sees Record 4.3 Million Visits in First Half of 2024

It should be noted that one of the most popular attractions of Abu Dhabi – Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, received more than 4. 3 million visits in the first half of the year and it registered the highest number of worshippers in a single day during the sanctified month of Ramadan.

Out of all visits Asia had a highest share of 52 percent, Europe 34 percent, North America 7 percent, Africa and South America 3 percent and Australia 1 percent. India remained on the top with 22 per cent visits followed by China and Russia 11 per cent, Germany & USA with 4 per cent each.

The mosque is used relatively frequently and it is a famous landmark – many people, especially tourists, tend to visit this place. It is interesting to note that the place of worship topped the list in the TripAdvisor’s Top Attractions list for the Middle East.
