Royal Saudi Decree Awards Citizenship to Global Talent

Saudi Arabia’s Royal Decree 1439/M has made several scientists, medical doctors, researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and other talented individuals Saudi citizens, SPA said on Friday.

The decree is in consistent with the Kingdom’s vision to obtain unique competencies from superior talents of the world irrespective of their religious, medical, academic, cultural, sports and technological fields. This is a program, which should help to stimulate the formation of several spheres of the Kingdom and contribute to the implementation of the challenging Vision 2030 – to create the conditions that would attract outstanding creative talents.

SPA said that the announcement is made in accordance with the issued Royal decree which aims to give Saudi citizenships to the qualified experts and exceptional global talents who have outstanding competencies in religious, medical, scientific, cultural, sports, and technological fields, which would help in the development of all sectors throughout the Kingdom and in support of the Achievement of Vision 2030 which targets at creating an effective environment to attract, employ and encourage great creative minds to invest

This step is proceeding from another royal approval of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in September 2021 which made many outstanding people Saudi citizens based on their rare competencies and specializations.

Saudi Arabia’s Economic Vision 2030 also try to expand non-oil sector of the economy which include information technology, biotechnology, and Tourism. Saudi Arabia aims at creating innovative economy, emphasizing on occupying a strong position in different advanced areas by attracting the best domestic and international specialists.
