Paying tribute to the healthcare professionals, Dubai has said that nurses who work in Dubai Health for more than 15 years will be entitled to prestigious UAE Golden Visa. The announcement was made on International Nurses Day, celebrated annually on May 12, by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence.
The decision celebrates important work of nurses into the public and their key place in the well-being of Dubai’s citizens. Sheik Hamdan admitted that nursing staff are at the center of a healthcare system of the emirate while helping to develop a healthier society and increase the quality of life. He commends their dedication to patient care and their dogged commitment in service to the Public which he said is not taken for granted in Dubai, as Dubai rewards excellence.
The first time UAE issued out the Golden visa was in 2019 which is meant to give long term residency to exceptional persons to live and operate in the country through self sponsorship. Previously given to investors, entrepreneurs, scientists and creatives, the criteria have been loosened up to include more industry players in national development.
This new initiative was meant for Dubai Health nurses who had served more than 15 years, a decade renewable residency was offered. Not only does the movement reward loyalty and hard work, but it also strengthens the UAE’s position in regards to supporting its frontline healthcare workers.
Including experienced nurses in the Golden Visa, the UAE follows the path of creating its image as a country, where attention to compassion, expertise, and resilience in the medical sphere are highly rated. This acknowledgement is a good message of gratitude and a gesture to keep best-talent in its health sector.
