Dubai Mall Sets a New Attendance Record with Over 111 Million Visitors in 2024

Yet again Dubai Mall which is the largest shopping mall in Dubai has broken the visitor traffic record by hosting 111 million plus visitors in 2024. This is remarkable, as the mall hit a record of 105 million visitors in the previous year 2023 and is now on the second successive year that it has recorded over one hundred million visits. Visitors have increased significantly beginning the year 2020 with 88 million people arriving in the country.

Standing in the proximity of Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall has continued to receive tourists and visitors from around the world. Stretching over 13000000 square feet it is the largest visited shopping mall in the world offering over 1200 shops, two department stores – Galeries Lafayette and Bloomingdale’s and over 200 restaurants, cafes and bars.

In addition to just retail and F&B, Dubai Mall presents an incredible novelty/information destination. Aquatic lovers can try the world’s largest shopping mall aquarium; skaters can strap on their blades at the mall’s ice-skating rink; and cinemaphiles can watch their favorite flicks at any of the mall’s 24-screens. Over the last few years, the building has incorporated a vast Chinatown which includes a huge food court, spas services as well as Chinese and other foods from East Asian region.

To make the mall even more attractive Dubai Mall is in the process of a Dhs1.5 billion expansion. This development will escalate the total luxury selling spaces to 240 new luxury retail and dining facilities, meaning that it will enhance its emblematic brand as a global MUST HAVE retail and lifestyle destination.

Some of the new changes may involve such areas as introducing parking fees at an average of $7 for any duration more than four hours on a weekday or six on a weekend.

Currently, Dubai Mall is expanding more and coming up with more novelties and complexes which are good impact for tourism and retailing industries in Dubai as a leading mall with standard features in shopping, food courts, and entertainment. That suited its unrivalled offerings and aggressive growth strategies, it will definitely set other records in the next few years.
