Dubai Named World’s Top Remote Work Destination Again

The latest Savills Nomad Executive Index has ranked Dubai as the world’s best location for remote working for the second consecutive year. The ranking is a part of the Savills Impacts programme that evaluated 25 places worldwide suited for permanent distant teams, all of which provide a digital nomad visa or equivalents. Dubai secured the top rank due its amazing attractiveness for executive freelancers in the context of an active, well-connected, and high quality city for work and life upgrades.

In all the research, factors that have capabilities of facilitating the working remote workers were assessed such factors include internet speed, quality of live, climate, air connectivity and prime rental costs. The city which performed outstanding in several categories was Dubai, but due to the better basic infrastructure, global services, effective strategic market environment. Sigantry, the beauty of the city is complimented by the beauty of the sceneries, delicious foods and beaches that can be found in the city.

Andrew Cummings, Head of Residential Agency – Middle East at Savills, stressed that Dubai has everything to offer and meet the needs of an executive nomad, “Dubai and Abu Dhabi have been targeting the executive nomads because these cities have everything one needs these days, be it sophisticated infrastructure of the city, quality life, or work opportunities to network, and make friends for life. ”

The rankings are led by Dubai which has appropriately excellent airport facilities especially through the Dubai international airport as well as the developing Al Maktoum airport. By doing this, Dubai was able to pull a head start over the second placed Abu Dhabi.

After the UAE, places that stood as third and fourth choices were Malaga – Spain and Miami, USA respectively and the fifth most preferred was Lisbon, Portugal. Other key search destinations also included; Barcelona, Palma and Barbados, which are among the most favoured destinations for people working remotely.

Further adding to its appeal as the world’s number one remote work location, there are countless co-working spaces and cafes across the city, a requirement for many poolside work locations, and the overall dedication that Dubai has shown to turn itself into the best place for executive nomads.
