Dubai Games 2025 Kicks Off with Intense Government Battle

Dubai Games 2025 initiated its official start today at Dubai Festival City to begin the city’s leading team sports championship. The tournament started with intense Battle of the Government competition in which government employees demonstrated superior team abilities and athletic skills through their participation under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

The sixth edition of the tournament takes place from February 10 through February 23 under the partnership of DP World and with DAMAC and Emarat as major sponsors through their collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council.

Government Teams Face Off in Opening Battles
Twenty-six teams entered the competition during the Battle of the Government for Women on the opening day before reaching the finals stage. The Ministry of Defence maintained the lead at 93.06 points in the scoreboard and earned second position to the Ministry of Education (69.31 points), Dubai Police (62.54 points) and Dubai Health (61.03 points). The championship title will be determined through the February 23rd match between these four competing teams.

The first and second heats of the mens category required teams to push their physical and mental limits through demanding activities. Four finalists will be unveiled on Friday before the final competition takes place on Sunday.

Commitment to Excellence and Fair Play
The event’s significance to build teamwork and sportsmanship received acknowledgment from Marwan bin Essa when he served as Director of Dubai Games. Incredible enthusiasm marks the start of Dubai Games 2025 showing Dubai’s dedication to sports excellence. Additional exciting showings will occur in upcoming days according to our predictions.

The Refereeing Committee head Khalid Balhoul emphasized that they use international standards to manage fairness by tracking participant skills and strategic choices along with teamwork performance.
