Dubai to Host the Middle East’s First-Ever Pro Baseball Ballpark

Dubai is writing a new chapter with the historic launching of the first professional baseball ballpark in Middle East and South Asia. Baseball United is an organization dedicated to the development of baseball in the area that is behind this pioneering effort. This will be situated in The Sevens – another popular spot for people interested in sports in Dubai – and while there is no particular date on when construction for the stadium has commenced, its concept is expected to provide a premium environment for both, fans and athletes.

With its dual-fibre synthetic turf, smart lights/captivating ambiance with 15 million lumens, an innovative modular seating configuration, the stadium must hold up to 6,500 fans. The field size was designed based on the Yankee Stadium making the experience a world class baseball. The field will also feature MLB legend, co-founder of Baseball United and namesake of the park Barry Larkin.

The construction is due to be soon especially by the end of the year with upcoming events such as the Baseball United Cup, Arab Classic among others. This ballpark particularly has a dream to create millions of new baseball fans across the region which will be another beginning of a new era for sports next in Dubai.
