Exciting Indoor, Snow & Aquatic Sports Events Highlight Dubai’s “Our Sports Summer” Initiative

Dubai has set a number of attractive water and snow sports events for the summer being staged indoors and in shopping centers. These events are held by the DSC as part of, and referred to as, the ‘Our Sports Summer Initiative’, and also focus on reaching both genders with some events exclusive to women.

Under this framework, DSC was involved in the organization of entertaining activities for the elderly people at Ski Dubai Mall of Emirates. These events were attended by Thukher Community Club and the activities included partaking dietary knowledge and first aid knowledge. These include organised activities geared towards ensuring that the practice of sports becomes part of the daily lives of the people, through interaction as well as fun in various sports facilities in Dubai.

The inter-connected programs under the scheme of snow championships at Ski Dubai is visited by both, the residents and the tourists. The ladies’ snow camp includes such services as snow yoga, snow hiking, snow badminton, and snow table tennis. Altogether, snow skating and the Internationals Skating Championships for people of determination are held, which attracts a large number of fans from all over the world thus making Dubai a favorable tourist destination.

The “Our Sports Summer Initiative” includes almost all types of the sports tournaments, namely basketball, tennis, table tennis, badminton, padel, cricket, mall running, swimming, soccer-health, sailing, rhythmic gymnastics, fitness grymes, artistic gymnastics, yoga, wrestling, esports, boxing, bodybuilding, jujitsu, karate, athletics, squash, and different water sports. These occasions are usually organized in cooperation with both the public and private sectors according to the cooperation between the DSC and the society to concentrate on collaboration to develop and promote sports diversity. In this way, this partnership guarantees that numerous contests and activities for sports lovers as well as all the citizens of the Dubay, to enhance intercultural interactions and the active way of living.

Thus, there are many opportunities for sports and exercises in Dubai such as running and cycling territories in residential regions, important streets, occasional parks, beaches, and shopping centers. Such facilities play a role in the integration of sports and physical activities into the general society’s culture through encouraging the people to engage in sports events all year round. The indoor sports facility called the Dubai Sports World facility located in the Dubai World Trade Centre has a total of 46 pitches and courts in a total of a floor area of 300000 sq. ft.
