K1 Pro Night Delivers Thrilling Victories in Abu Dhabi

Space 42 Arena at Al Raha Beach in Abu Dhabi organised a thrilling K1 Pro Night that saw 14 fights and 28 fighters from 24 nations. The spectacle was held by the assistance of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation and WAKO Pro where the event promoted combat sports on one hand and strengthened Abu Dhabi’s position as the capital of world martial arts on the other hand.

Thus, in the Main Event Nikola Todorovic has astoundingly knockout defended his WBC International World Super Middleweight Title against Spain’s Jordi Coronado. In the Co-Main Event, the Intercontinental Flyweight Title was up for grabs – Mohammed Touizi from UAE against Ricardo Hilario from Portugal, a decision was made after five rounds left Touizi as the winner.

Other successful bouts were the Flyweight contest between Brazil’s Maria Samurai and Italy’s Alessia Muroni, Morocco’s Zakaria Ahmamou defeating Algeria’s Abdelmoueneme Basta in the Light category, and Japan’s Kensuke Takao against China’s Yuhao Zhao in the Bantam weight category.

On the Main Card, Netherlands, Mohamed El Hammouti defeated Zakaria Al Jari in Light Welterweight division and Izzettin Altunsoz from Turkey defeated Mohamed Hadile from UAE in Light Middleweight division.

Again, Abdullah Saeed Al Neyadi of the Asian and Arab Muay Thai Federations and the Chairman of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation congratulated the event’s success. He said: “This tournament has proved that sports of this type gather champions of a high level, and Abu Dhabi remains the best place for such fights.”

Al Neyadi presented the victory of Mohammed Touizi for the UAE leadership and thanked His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for further supporting combat sports in the UAE.

The ultimate event of the action-packed combat sports year in Abu Dhabi was K1 Pro Night and the audience and performers wanted more.
