Mirra Andreeva Wins 25th WTA Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships

Mirra Andreeva won the 25th WTA Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships as Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum presided over the trophy presentation at the magnificent ceremony. The tournament which enjoyed patronage from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as the UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai established itself as a landmark for women’s tennis competition.

A Thrilling Championship Showdown
The WTA 1000 tournament attracted 36 of tennis’ elite 40 competitors to create an international spotlight on Dubai’s elite tennis venue. Andreeva defeated Clara Tauson (7-6, 6-1) in a dramatic final showdown to secure the women’s singles championship title through her outstanding ability and unwavering dedication.

Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend as top seeds won the doubles final match against Jelena Ostapenko and Hsieh Su-wei with scores of 7-6 and 6-4 to emerge champions.

Prestigious Guests and a Legacy of Excellence
His Highness Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum Al Maktoum led the list of attendees at the award ceremony which took place on Centre Court at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium together with other national officials.

Ramesh Cidambi expressed his respect for the tournament through his praise of the prestigious competition that has established itself as an elite international event. Salah Tahlak who directs the tournament thanked all participants and spectators for making the 25th installment remarkable.

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships positions itself as an international benchmark in tennis while the tournament community waits excitedly for its following spectacular competition in the upcoming year.
