AI Retreat to Become Annual Fixture in Dubai

Dubai: The AI Retreat will now become an annual event, which will be held in Dubai the following year – April 29, 2025. This was said by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, during his opening speech on Tuesday, which marked the first day of the event.

The first AI Retreat that was held gathered more than 2,500 delegates, major decision-makers, AI specialists, and leaders across sectors, IT enterprises CEOs of Microsoft, IBM, Google, Amazon, Oracle, SAP, Nvvidia, and Samsung. It was therefore marked by an announcement of new strategies and collaboration between governments and business organizations.

Aim at the Key Field of AI in Government and Industry

Sheikh Hamdan held meetings with the leaders of Dubai government and the newly appointed 22 Chief AI Officers, calling on them make use of information technologies and Artificial Intelligence to make the Dubai government better in its service delivery and in its preparedness. He highlighted the call to elevate the AI’s benefits to humanity by at least twice through the DUBAI to harness innovative intelligent systems in manner that fosters the human good.

Roundtables and Workshops

The event included roundtable discussions on several topics, including Funding and Finance, Computing and Digital Infrastructure, Data Regulation and Policies and Talent Ecosystem that was meant to establish potentials in moving forward with AI along with the correlative hurdles. International tech companies brought in workshops to display what is new in the AI world and in technologies.

Strategic Partnerships

The retreat also featured a major announcement of the available collaboration between du and Oracle to deliver reactive AI and powerful data solutions. This partnership is expected to foster a high level understanding of AI innovation with a keen view of turning Dubai into a global city for the practice.

This is why Sheikh Hamdan reminded everyone that Dubai will remain a supporter of artificial intelligence programs, as well as an area that will be conducive to invention and future design.
