Dubai to Launch Middle East’s First Floating Police Station by 2026

SPT has also revealed that the Dubai Police Force is to build the first of its kind, the Middle Eastern SPS on water by 2026. This cutting-edge centre will feature 24/7 entirely automatic and self-service to underpin Dubai’s technological forward-thinking and smart city plans.

 

Of the various forms of investment, the one that has the greatest return is a strategic investment in public safety.

 

The floating SPS is a component of the AED 2 billion strategic project of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It will produce 27 core and 33 support services in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Greek for the yachts and boats, water-sport lovers and maritime tourists. Among the key offerings are reporting of criminal and traffic incidents, issuing of permits, and lost item handling though self-service.

 

The Advanced Design concept became a new levitation point through which design facilitates the creation of smooth physical and virtual connections to information.

 

Interview with Lieutenant Colonel Faisal Al Tamimi, Director of Assets and Facilities at Dubai Police said that the work of this station fully corresponds to the functional-ornamental demands of users of water transport, and the station itself designed in a way to provide acceptable space for yachts and boats. This innovation can be used to cut down demand for traditional service centers with help of artificial intelligence and robots.

 

On the development of Smart Police Services

 

The floating SPS is the fourth type of Smart Police Stations launched by Dubai Police together with Smart Police Stations, Drive thru Police Stations, and Walk-In Police Stations throughout the city. All these strategies are in support of Dubai Police vision of increasing security, quality and standards of living, making Dubai the smartest and happiest city in the world.
