Professor Li demonstrated the process while operating a virtual avatar because he was performing it in real time. During his presentation Bermudez explained that Voodoo XP provides an easy method to create complex digital avatars. The founder linked Voodoo XP’s processes to the 171-camera setup of Meta’s Codec Avatar system that needs extensive training. The system generates an avatar instantly using only one webcam according to Bermudez. The tracking system detects tiny facial expressions while the avatar responds naturally to them.

MBZUAI launched XMem++ which represents a superior video object segmentation tool built to aid professional video editors as well as augmented reality practitioners.
