Noon Nearing Top Spot as UAE’s Leading Delivery Company, Says Mohamed Alabbar

However, in an interview with Arabian Business, Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Noon and Emaar said that Noon is just a step away from becoming the largest delivery company in the UAE. Stating that Noon will be based in Dubai, Alabbar once again underlined his firm’s role in spearheading the ecommerce and delivery industries throughout the MENA region.

The Extent of Competitive Advantage in A Growing Market

Alabbar stated Noon’s rapid progress, particularly in the food delivery sector:

We are probably within a few percentage points or distance from having the biggest delivery and e-commerce company in Dubai and the region. The progress we have made in food delivery in the past couple of years would not be easy to achieve.

Because of pressure caused by stiff market competition driven by the need for convenience in delivery services MSE, Alabbar remain bullish for Noon’s prospects of surpasing rivals. He expressed determination, saying:

We are going to do it and we will not give up.” There is nothing like the limit we’re ready to invest. And, frankly, we beat ourselves every single year, and that is why we beat the competition.”

It marked military precision and technological innovation, which are two major subcategories in one of the popular App Store categories up to the time of this report.

Alabbar credited Noon’s success to disciplined operations and cutting-edge technology, noting:

The buying time of ‘noon’ is managed very strictly, like clockwork. It means a lot for me to be able to work in a new, more exciting way with AI and technology. We are here to do business seriously, not to earn more money – it’s really not about the money.”

Recognition of UAE leadership

Highlighting Dubai’s supportive ecosystem, Alabbar thanked the UAE government for creating an environment conducive to innovation and growth:

I personally think that it is the policies of the UAE and Dubai governments, which make us all look like heroes.” We have the privilege to be shoppers and user of ecommerce and technology.”

It is along this line that with more cavalier challenging of the status quo, Alabbar’s vision is an unremitting striving to revolutionize the delivery and e-commerce industries in the UAE and beyond.
