SAL
In search of the very best way to remain cool during the Dubai summer? You’ll find SAL at the popular Mediterranean-themed pool and dining location which lies behind the Burj Al Arab. Owing to its great ocean views and quiet, upscale setting, SAL offers one of the greatest pool days in town.
From the moment you spot Burj Al Arab, cross the bridge and see the glittering Gulf on both sides, the lavish atmosphere becomes obvious. Relaxing by the pool has become the main luxury within resorts, rather than luxury suites or fancy dining. From the front of the restaurant, the SAL buggy takes guests to the back terrace which transforms into a seaside oasis.
A pool is there for everyone, while another infinity pool for adults alone looks out over the sea. The many navy loungers and white pillows decorating the terrace make it feel like a cool escape during summer. Fresh coconuts (Dhs60), refreshing towels for the face and hands and hydrating detox shots are all available during the day.
Unlike most beach clubs that have lively DJs, SAL is known for peaceful luxury. A lively blend of relaxing house creates a sophisticated mood which is perfect for having pleasant talks.
Bite-size meals are brought around the pool, while lunch in the air-conditioned restaurant is an upgrade. Recommended dishes are the wild crab starter which comes with a paprika and pickle sauce (Dhs105) and the lobster linguine with rich sauce and enough lobster for one (Dhs250). The harissa-glazed lamb chops (Dhs190) taste amazing and the pistachio gelato (Dhs70) is a wonderful way to end the meal.
All things considered, SAL makes for the total pool day experience with spectacular views, fine service and delectable food.
