The performed Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) cooperation with IHG Hotels & Resorts which is the world’s largest hospitality company to upgrade the tourism sector. This partnership and intends to be signed in an MoU will ensure Dubai as an attractive tourist destination through dynamic advertising strategies, enhancement and training in the Hospitality industry for visitors’ satisfaction.
The signing of the launch took place between His Excellency Issam Kazim, Chief Executive Officer of DCTCM and Haitham Mattar, Managing Director IHG Hotels & Resorts for India, Middle East and Africa region. This initiative is significantly in harmony with the recently unveiled strategy of the Dubai Economic, D33, that aims to enhance Dubai’s position as a premier business and leisure tourism destination.
Through the partnership, DET and IHG will launch marketing campaigns that will focus on the best tourist attractions within Dubai such as cultural city tours and exceptional holiday deals at different seasons. Besides, DET’s Dubai College of Tourism will offer certification, training, and workshops to the IHG staff responsible for guaranteeing excellent service quality.
The deal also aligns Dubai tourism experiences with IHG’s global loyalty program one rewards with more than 130 million members. This strategy has been proposed to encourage multiple operations and improve guest interaction.
This collaboration with IHG Hotels & Resorts will demonstrate Dubai to audiences and bring the various experiences that are being targeted with a view of making the destination appealing to travelers hence fulfilling the vision of making Dubai one of the best destinations in the world for tourism,” said HE Issam Kazim.
IHG’s Haitham Mattar said this while affirming the company’s pledge saying that through its membership in the global market and loyalty program, the hotel and guest service provider sought to strengthen Dubai’s portfolio and enrich the experience of its visitors.
IHG currently has 117 hotels across the Middle East and 27 in Dubai; future developments include the world’s tallest all-hotel building – Ciel – and InterContinental Resort Portofino on The World islands.
