The DET and Hilton have agreed to the MoU to enhance Dubai’s tourist Viability and upgrade service of delivery for the city’s hospitality industry more. This synergy complements the Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’ where Dubai seeks to strengthen a winning global business and tourism hub image.
Marketing cooperation that shall cover international advertisement crusades, as well as social marketing avenues that shall be used to market Dubai as a tourist destination. Seasonal tourism product will leverage distinct experiences that are Dubai delivered as promotions in Hilton Honors programmes as the city continues to go global.
Most importantly, through training offered by the Dubai College of Tourism a member of DET, Hilton will achieve improved tangible skills among the employees most crucial to clients being hospitable and familiar with other cultures all in a bid to deliver quality services. The signing of the MoU was between His Excellency Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM) and Guy Hutchinson, President of Hilton MEA.
With 24 hotels in Dubai, Hilton will use this collaboration to enrich the prospects of improving its guest experience even more while contributing positively to the emirate’s large tourism strategy. The total number of foreign tourists arriving in Dubai from January to August 2024 stood at 11.93 million, up by 7.5 percent over the same period this year while average occupancy of the hospitality sector reached 76.2 percent.
This MoU indeed forms a major landmark in Dubai’s strategy in towards the process of strengthening its status in travel and hospitality industry.
