Dubai’s Aviation Sector Set to Boost GDP by $53.4 Billion and Create 816,000 Jobs by 2030

The study which was carried out by Emirates Group and Dubai Airports notes that the aviation sector in Dubai will create 816,000 jobs by 2030 contributing $53.4 billion to Dubai’s GDP. It remains one of the most important sectors in Dubai and generated AED137 billion ($37.3 billion) in the previous year to show its potential in determining the city’s development.

Long-term economic impact analysis was carried out based on the aviation industry and all the corresponding supply chains and tourism impact reckoned by Oxford Economics. It focused on the ways in which Dubai’s aviation sector contributes to trade, tourism, and economic development, with 2023 envisioning the core activities to contribute AED 94 billion ($ 25.6 billion), while tourism is expected to contribute AED 43 billion ($ 11.7 billion).

Getting to the nitty-gritty of the strategic significance of the aviation sector within Dubai’s D33 Economic Agenda, the Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group underscored the sector’s necessity within Dubai. QT growth is expected to be realized by increasing the size of DXB and the establishment of Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport job creation / economic opportunities.

The growth and strategic investments in the aviation industry of Dubai are expected to be 32% in the city’s GDP by 2030. also International tourism through aviation is anticipated to generate AED 63 bn ($ 17.2 bn) contribution to the economy making Dubai a global aviation and tourist destination.
