From November 29, 2024, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will launch three new routes: Route 108, which will connect Satwa Bus Station and Global Village. This addition is one of the strategies, that RTA has implemented to enhance tourism and transport of the Global Village.
Route 108 will operate Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and special events, running from 2:From 12:00 PM to 1:00 AM of the following day. The frequency of service within the trips shall be 11 in a direction per day with a frequency of a single trip taking 60 minutes.
A third proposition contain strategies related to streamlining and upgrading existing routes.
Others include; modifications to Route J02, J04, F38 & F39, and X92 in order to enhance service delivery as well as to decrease travel time. The RTA has planned to upgrade 30 more routes for better connection with metro, tram and marine transport.
By such adaptations, RTA further maintains its mission of developing the public transport network and make it the number one means of transportation. It improves the connectivity to make sure that one can be able to move across Dubai easily and this matches the emirate’s growing demand.
