A stray kitten looking for a warm place to move under the wheel of a vehicle in the middle of the road was rescued by a delivery rider Zubair Anwar Muhammad Anwar. The assault occurred on Al Falah street, Abu Dhabi and was captured on video and spread through the social platforms.
Anwar, who has been a delivery rider in Abu Dhabi for five years, described the rescue: The traffic signal was red and I noticed the kitten crossed and stopped under a jeep I looked around and within five seconds I exited from my motor bike, picked the kitten and put it on the side of the road so that cars do not run it over Said Anwar who is currently on Eid Al Adha holiday in Gujranwala Pakistan When I picked the cat I did not know someone was recording the event.
The 29-year-old rider who works for the food delivery application-Talabat & resides in Tourist Club Area, Abu Dhabi explained Ok; remarked that he loves animals though he does not own one, and that he has never been caught in a case of traffic violations. This incident took place some time before Anwar left for Eid holidays, and it emphasized a scorching heat many experience during the middle of the day.
This is not the first time that delivery riders from the UAE are extending their support to animals and risking their lives for them. In early this year, three riders were able to pacify a frightened horse that had galloped on the Umm Suqeim Street of Dubai. This also occurred in July 2022, another time when riders came to a stranded kitten’s rescue after finding it cramped inside a car’s engine compartment also captured on video.
Anwar’s fast-thinking and benevolent actions not only rescue the kitten but also shed light on the good Samaritans which are delivery riders in the UAE.
