Dubai Appoints 22 Chief AI Officers in Government Entities

The perception of how artificial intelligence is to be implemented has shifted and for the first time ever, 22 Chief AI Officers have been hired in Dubai for government use. The news was stated by the Crown Prince of Dubai; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum post on X.

It is part of the Dubai AI Smart Reset Plan which is a part of the Dubai AI Universal blueprint that strives to use the AI in government solutions that shall help improve its efficiency and innovation. Further, to this, Sheikh Hamdan underlined the fact that the increase of AI is one of the key elements of the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who is aimed at making Dubai the number one city in terms of AI innovation.

Dubai’s new generation associated to AI through the approval of authorities Chief AI Officers and will be in charge of increasing advanced solutions dependent on the technique into the Dubai’s governance. Many of these officers will report to various government organizations as per their area of training, such as the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Police, or Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

The appointment of Chief AI Officers has been initiated in the wake of the Dubai Artificial Intelligence Strategy that the city introduced in April this year. In the first phase, the government will launch a detailed program to lure and empower the data centers as well as providing a new artificial intelligence company license.

Dubai’s strategic initiative of AI led by Sheikh Hamdan focuses on equipping the emirate as a leader in this area and the new bar for the world’s government agencies to follow.
