Dubai Media Council and TikTok Partner to Boost Content Creation and Innovation

Dubai Media Council has engaged the social media platform TikTok with the talks meant for the partnership with the mode destinationed at the improvements of the media city and support of content creation. Indeed, during a recent meeting with Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, and Shou Zi Chew, CEO of TikTok indicated that Dubai can learn from TikTok as it relates to young talented content creators. This endeavour conforms to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to enhance cooperation with international media technology players and further enhance the media city status of Dubai.

The meeting which was presided in the presence of Nehal Badri, Secretary General of the Dubai Media Council, also discussed the Dubai’s mission and vision in sustainable development the emirate’s promotional Economic Vision D33 and Humanitarian Vision 33 that characterize Dubai as a global city in quality of life ,employment chances and tourism. The partnership aims at setting up such training and sharing of information that adopt TikTok’s experience to enhance local media professionals and enable Dubai’s development into a regional, and international media hub.

Mona Al Marri emphasized Dubai’s obligation to enhancing the regional media environment by adding to cooperation projects with an emphasis on using the finest examples from other countries to develop media specialists. On this approach, she stressed that having this approach would ensure that local talent receives knowledge and tools to make content appealing and reflect Dubai’s achievements and its value on the international stage.

I started using TikTok after the company said it had established its regional headquarters in Dubai in the same year, and it has grown tremendously within the MENA region, especially with young users. This collaboration is a thrust forward in fully capitalizing on the potential of TikTok’s platform and resources to aid in the achievement of the Dubai’s goal of transforming the emirate into a content creation and media hub.
