The DET has recently sent out circulars to all hotels, restaurants, non-Muslim mosques, and bars in the emirate recommending against holding entertainment activities such as parties on Arafat Day. This directive is expected to help ensure that working on the day before Eid Al Adha is done in a manner which is insensitive and disregards the significance of the day.
Through a circular sent to accommodation services, sports and recreational facilities, food and beverage services, and travel services, DET provided further details of the disposition. Entertainment activities and parties are to be paused starting from Friday, June 14, 2024, at 6:Sunday, June 16 at 1:30 PM and Saturday, June 15, 2024, 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
