Dubai Sees Highest Population Growth Since 2018

Apparently, the population of the city has tremendously increased and has a statistic rise of 169104 in the year 2024 as estimated by the Dubai Statistics Centre. The boost will take the population of the emirate to 3.832 million, which is the highest population growth since 2018, when the city grew by 215, 000 residents.

A Growing, Thriving City
Apart from the weather, the tax free wages and legalized nightlife Dubai remains the prime destination for enjoying global residency. Foremost, the visa liberalization and a more relaxed residency visa regime starting in 2024 have made migration to the city even more attractive than ever. Other latest residence visa schemes introduced include the one for environmental stars entrepreneur and outstanding teachers, thus continue to attract working professionals to reside in Dubai.

Despite the fact that COVID-19 has been quite a tough period, the population within Dubai has continued to increase. The latest population forecasts indicate that the population of the emirate is likely to top 4 million by 2026, and could be higher than Sydney, estimated at 7.8 million by 2040.

Obviously, such a rate of growth needs further development, and Dubai has grand plans for expansion. The expansion of Al Maktoum International Airport will change the face of the city specially the southern part and RTA plans to add more number of stations on the metro by the year 2040 due to increase in population.
