Dubai Unveils Ambitious Quality of Life Strategy 2033 to Enhance Livability

Dubai Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has set up the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, which is a major move towards turning Dubai into the world’s best city for living. The extensive plan, which was unveiled in a press conference, covers more than 200 projects and initiatives in which the city’s living standards will be improved.

The ambitious initiative of the Dubai city reflects Dubai’s determination to put the pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, environmental sustainability, and family-centric amenities at the top of its list of priorities. The strategy having relentless attention on the accessibility, it is vowed that the residents can avail of the services that are required just within 20 minutes of their home.

The strategy aims to the design of a large system of public facilities, to the construction of over 200 parks, the extension of bicycle tracks along beaches by 300% and the creation of women-only beaches. These projects aim at creating a more fit and welcoming city.

Besides boosting the existing communities, the plan also seeks to create model communities in places like Al Mizhar 1, Al Khawaneej 2, and Al Barsha 2. The renewal works will be on enhancing the infrastructure, encouraging soft mobility options, and boosting the community bonding.

In addition, the strategy points out the creation of the parks that satisfy the demands of the residents of Dubai in the different ways. More than 30 parks with the most distinctive designs that represent the spirit of each area are planned to be developed in the next three years.

The Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 is based on the environmental sustainability which is one of the pillars of the strategy. Environmental sustainability initiatives are the main aim of the strategy. Preservation of natural habitats, expansion of green spaces, and reduction of carbon emissions are among the initiatives. The strategy of the plan is to the waste to energy conversion projects, the building of the wildlife reserves, and the improvement of Dubai’s greenery.

The emergence of the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 shows the stability of Dubai in developing the well-being and satisfaction of the residents while at the same time building a sustainable and inclusive urban environment.
