Dubai’s UAE Exchange Metro Station Renamed to Life Pharmacy

All Dubai Metro users need to be aware that UAE Exchange Metro Station now operates as Life Pharmacy Station under a 10-year branding partnership which Dubai Media Office executed on May 5, 2025.

RTA from Dubai joined forces with Life Pharmacy Group through an agreement which became the most recent change within their Metro Naming Rights initiative that utilizes private enterprises to rebrand specific stations. The Roads and Transport Authority declared the initiative supports public-private partnerships which promote economic growth by way of branding efforts and knowledge exchange and employment methods.

The Rail Agency CEO Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat supports the initiative by stating that these partnerships improve public transportation services while creating economic benefits for the city. Life Pharmacy Chairman Abdul Rahuman Abdul Nazzar celebrated the naming event as the company further integrated its products into the UAE resident lifestyle.

Transit passengers in Dubai have traditionally relied on this station at the end of the Red Line as their primary connection point. RTA will start the rebranding initiative this month before completing it by August 2025 while they update network signage both inside and out alongside digital systems and public announcement systems across the Metro network.

According to Mohamad Al Hammadi as Mada Media’s CEO the station offers a “strategic branding opportunity” because it receives high levels of visibility and passenger traffic every day.

Such station renaming through commercial deals has previously occurred at Dubai Metro. The transportation network of the city has expanded its practice of linking well-known commercial names to its stations as demonstrated by the Al Khail Metro Station which became known as Al Fardan Exchange in the first part of 2021.
