Emirates Announces Flights from Dubai to Madagascar

From September 3rd, 2024, Emirates will introduce new routes connecting Dubai with Madagascar; this means more seats for travellers totally reviving both leisure and business across the country. Dubbed four-weekly, this connection will be between Dubai International (DXB) and Antananarivo (TNR) which will pass through Seychelles to ease the movement of the international travelers.

Flight EK707 will depart from Dubai at 8:Five Operation details include the flight number AF 2815, which departs from Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 9:55 AM, arrives in Mahe Airport, Seychelles at 1:35 PM, takes off for Antananarivo, Madagascar before landing at 4:50 PM. The return flight, EK708, will leave Antananarivo at 6:At 3:35 PM, they reach Mahe at 10:20 PM and then continue their journey to Dubai and arriving according to the local time at 4:20 AM. These flights will be in operation on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday thus giving visitors the opportunity to explore both Seychelles and Malagasy Republic.

South African low-cost carrier FlySafair is to launch a new route from Johannesburg to Antananarivo in Madagascar and this new route will help to boost Madagascar efforts of attracting one million tourists by 2028. The flights will link over 140 cities in Emirates’ existing network, as the Ministery of Tourism plan to expand its target market with Madagascar main tourism selling point being the natural endowment.

Currently, discussions are being made between the two airlines where Emirates is keen on forging partnership with Air Madagascar to boost connectivity around the world that acts as a catalyst to the tourism and trade sectors. While reviewing the new changes, Adnan kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President & CCO emphasized about the importance of connectivity and the ability to provide customers with comfortable travel services. He said that he believed realizing the new service would strengthen connectivity to Madagascar and expand economic possibilities for the island as the government pushes for increased tourism.

The new route, the Minister of Transports, and Meteorology of Madagascar, Manambahoaka Valéry Ramonjavelo, described the initiation of such a new route a great leap towards the development of tourism and trade relations between both nations – Madagascar and the UAE. The change will increase awareness of Madagascar on international markets and open up new opportunities to start a business.

Madagascar is an island country in Africa that has the fourth largest size of land area in the entire globe; the country has appealing vistas and is gifted in fauna and flora, and thus is famed for ecological tourism. The new flights will operate with Boeing 777-300ER that offers 8 first class suites, 42 business class, and 310 economy seats. Emirates SkyCargo shall facilitate the exports to major destinations of the products the following destinations: UAE, China, Indonesia, USA, France among others.
